Distinguishing top and bottom of preform tubes

If the NF-DA06 spot size adjustable lens and NF-DM02-G4 fiber-optic cable are used, the top and bottom of a preform tube can be distinguished. The NF-DA06 allows the spot size to be adjusted to the optimum size within the range of approx. ø0.9 to 1.9 mm. A small spot beam is projected onto the preform tube. By narrowing the spot size, light no longer shines on the rim, allowing for a greater difference in light intensity due to differences in the top and bottom of the preform tube. Detection through holes is also possible.
