Detection of transparent containers

Transparent containers are detected using the Z4D‑W20x wide‑angle diffuse‑reflective sensor. Conventional diffuse sensors have a small spot size, which can cause chattering due to container unevenness or vibration. The Z4D‑W20x detects over a wide area with a large spot (approximately φ80 mm at a distance of 100 mm), enabling stable detection resistant to surface irregularities and vibration, and making transparent‑object detection possible where retro‑reflective sensors cannot be installed.
