Expiration date printed on dark-colored backgrounds is inspected using the MVS‑OCR2 character-recognition camera. With its high color‑discrimination performance, the MVS‑OCR2 can recognize printing even when black ink is printed on a dark blue background, enabling reliable inspection of low‑contrast characters.
