Picking parts from palette

The positioning of a robot arm to pick up automotive parts placed on a pallet is performed using OPR ring lighting and a camera. With OPR, long‑distance illumination of 300 to 500 mm can be achieved for a 200 × 200 mm pallet using ring lighting with an outer diameter of 70 mm. By ensuring sufficient freedom in robot movement, downsizing of the lighting and cost reduction are possible.
