Print inspection of individual packages at deviated position on the conveyer

The expiration date printed on individual packages is inspected on a line where passing position varies. Normally, guides are installed to keep the passing position constant. However, if the guides are too narrow, packages can get stuck and trigger a temporary stop, and if they are too wide, the packages may not pass at the specified position and go out of the camera’s field of view, preventing imaging. With the MVS-OCR2, it is possible to perform detection without narrow guides because it has a field of view more than double that of previous models. This eliminates concerns about temporary stops and allows production to proceed efficiently.
