Inspection of gears using backlight
Chamfered and non-chamfered gears are distinguished using an OPF backlight and camera. When a narrow directivity angle OPF is used, light projected at a narrow directivity angle allows for clear capture, even of the outline of gears susceptible to light diffraction.
