Sorting by pattern of grooves on the shaft

The LS‑100Cx 2D displacement sensor identifies product types by measuring the spacing between grooves on a metal shaft. Since the LS can measure across the width of the shaft, groove spacing and quantity can be used to classify product types. Because camera systems require many components and make system construction complicated, the all‑in‑one LS enables product identification using only a single device.
