Checking whether the lid is fastened correctly
CD33 laser displacement sensors are used to detect if the lid of a jar is fastened correctly. The lid is indented when the jar is sealed properly while flat when it is not sealed properly. The sensors detect this difference. To accommodate positional variations on the conveyor line, the sensors measure both the center of the lid and its outer edge, and detect fastening as acceptable when that difference is the specified value or higher, and unacceptable when it is below the specified value.
