Robot handling and appearance inspection at assembly line

An area camera and ring lighting are mounted on the assembly robot to perform robot vision and appearance inspection simultaneously. With the OPR‑SF Series ring lighting, brightness is 2.5 times higher than conventional models without using a strobe overdrive power supply. While strobe overdrive lighting typically has an emission time of about 1 ms, the OPR‑SF can be lit from 10 ms up to several hundred milliseconds, making it easy to synchronize the lighting with the camera shutter.
