Measuring dimensions of the tire
The dimensions of the sidewall of a tire are inspected with a CDX series laser displacement sensor. For low-reflectivity materials such as black rubber, conventional approaches required a high-power laser of class 3R or higher to obtain reliable measurements. However, thanks to the CDX’s high light receiving sensitivity, stable measurements can be achieved even with a class 1 laser. This delivers superior measurement stability for black objects while ensuring eye-safety compliance.
