Seal detection for small pieces in the film seals
The Z3T-2500NIR is the infrared LED type photoelectric sensor that can detect small pieces in film seals in the pancake packaging process.
Its IR LEDs have stronger penetrating power than red LEDs, so the sensors ensure accurate detection of small pieces through package films. The sensors are also contamination-resistant, reducing the frequency at which they need to be cleaned.
Model: Amplifier Built-in Sensor Z3T-2500NIR
Counting the Number of Dropped Pouches
Using the NF-TS40 screen Fiber-Optic Cables makes it possible to count the number of small pouches dropping from a chute.
Since detection is performed while the pouches are falling, variations in the passage position of the pouches are inevitable. However, the NF-TS40 with the collimated 40 mm width light screen ensures stable detection even if the pouches do not pass a specific position.
Model: Fiber-Optic Cables NF-TS40
Detecting Presence of Cookies and Pass/Failure
The BGS-HDL C-MOS laser sensor can detect the presence of cookies and whether they pass or fail.
With the BGS-HDL, there are two control outputs so the presence of cookies can be detected using output 1 and whether they pass or fail can be detected by the height difference using output 2. You can reduce the number of sensors from 2 to 1 using the BGS-HDL.
Model: High-resolution C-MOS Laser Sensor BGS-HDL Series
Detection of Overlapped Outer Packaging Paper
The BGS-HDL series can be used to detect the presence of colorful outer packaging paper and whether the papers are overlapped.
The BGS-HDL series’ two control outputs enable simultaneous detection of both the presence of the outer packaging paper and overlapped papers by turning on Output 1 when one sheet is detected, and turning on Output 2 when two or more sheets are detected.
This means that all the work in applications that would conventionally require two sensors can be done with just a single sensor.
Model: C-MOS laser BGS sensor BGS-HDL Series
Presence Detection of Glossy and Transparent Pouches
The BGS-HDL series enables detection of thin food pouches with high gloss.
The FGS mode of the BGS-HDL series ensures stable detection even with transparent pouches, glossy pouches or those with color patterns, and thin pouches. In FGS mode, if the light is reflected from anything other than the background, detection is positive.
Because output is enabled even when laser reception is not possible, stable detection is possible even for highly glossy targets and transparent targets.

Cup counting and orientation detection
The BGS-HDL series of C-MOS laser sensors can be used for counting and detecting container orientation.
With two control outputs, the BGS-HDL series can be configured to use output 1 for container passage counting, and output 2 for orientation detection, enabling simultaneous counting and orientation detection without the need for sensor synchronization. This allows for a single sensor to perform all the work in applications that would conventionally require two sensors.

Detection of Upper/Lower Limit of Hoppers
Monitor the upper and lower limits for material supply levels by TOF-L series BGS long-distance laser sensor in hoppers.
Detection is possible even at distances of up to 4.5 m. With two separate outputs, both upper and lower limits can be detected separately.
Moreover, detection of granulated objects (sound absorber) that cannot be detected using ultrasonic sensors is possible.
Model: Compact, Long-range TOF Sensors TOF-L
Detecting plain chewing gum protruding from the package
High resolution laser C-MOS BGS sensor BGS-HL can detect protruding gum from the package even if the deviation is very small because the spot size of the sensor is as small as φ0.8mm.
Model: Accurate laser BGS sensor with digital display BGS-HL Series
Detection of Transparent Containers
The Z3D-W20 wide angle diffuse reflective type sensor is capable of detecting transparent containers.
With normal diffuse sensors, the spot size is small, resulting in chattering due to container surface irregularities and variations.
The Z3D-W20 offers wide-area detection thanks to a large, ø60 mm beam at 100 mm, allowing for detection with a strong resistance to uneven surfaces and product variation.
This enables transparent object detection even in locations where retro-reflective sensors cannot be installed.
Model: Low Cost / Small Type Z3D-W20
Detecting glossy plastic bag
Although Thru-beam type is used for detecting glossy object normally, retro-reflective type sensor Z2R-400N can detect glossy object stably because its polarizing filter built-in.
Model: Built-in amplifier retro-reflective type sensor Z2R-400N
Detecting pizza dough
High resolution BGS sensor BGS-HL can detect very small height difference even if the object is very thin pizza dough.
The sensor has new function "ZONE Teaching", which make possible very easy teaching and detection of very thin uneven dough.
BGS-HL is also IP67 as water resistant sensor so it can be washed by water splash.
Model: Accurate laser BGS sensor with digital display BGS-HL Series
Detecting piled ice cream cups
Through beam laser sensor detects piled ice-cream cups.
The small spot size of laser finds even slight changes in height.
Model: Laser sensor ZT-L3000N
Provide trigger for Metal foreign objects detector
Metal detector finds any metal foreign objects just before bread is packed.
Stainless housing photoelectric sensor Z-M series achieves IP69K and can be installed on production line for providing trigger for the machine which is washed directly with high-pressure water.
Model: Stainless housing sensor (Built-in Amplifier) Z-M Series
Detecting direction of packed sweets
C-MOS Laser sensor BGS-DL detects direction of packaged sweets.
Normal reflective sensor cannot detect correctly by the influences of color and lines on aluminum deposition film, but BGS-DL with C-MOS image sensor realizes stable detection.
Production line efficiency will be improved.
Model: Laser BGS Sensor with C-MOS image sensor BGS-DL Series
Detecting frozen noodle
C-MOS Laser BGS sensor can detect frozen noodle on the conveyer stably even if the material of the conveyer surface is shiny stainless steel.
Model: Laser BGS Sensor with C-MOS image sensor BGS-DL Series
Counting chopped meat
BGS sensor with stainless steel housing BGS-ZM can be used for foods industry that to be washed by high pressure hot water splash often because of its water resistant feature IP69K. It also has sensitivity adjustment potentiometer which make adjustment easy.
