Measuring workpiece height for deburring machines
Displacement sensors can be used to measure the height of a workpiece to control the level of a deburring brush.
The CD2H-700 can perform measurement at ranges up to 1200 mm, so the sensors can be placed so that they do not interfere with the movable range of the brush, which allows for stable measurement.

Inspecting stopping accuracy of robots
Laser displacement sensors can be used to inspect the stopping accuracy of an articulated robot.
By installing the sensors on the X, Y, and Z-axis, it is possible to check if the stopping position of the robot is within the tolerance range.
With the highest repeatability of 0.25 µm in its class, the CD2H-30 ensures highly accurate measurement.
This series is also compatible with IO-Link, so measured values can be immediately logged using dedicated free software.

Sealing Inspection of Cupped Foods
The CD2H series laser displacement sensor can be used to detect cupped foods sealing defects.
The lid of the cup is pressed with a cylinder at a fixed pressure and its height is measured. Sealing defects can be determined because the cylinder sinks lower than when sealing is normal because air leaks out if there is a sealing defect.
A threshold value is set inside the sensor and judgment is made by internal comparator output.
Installation space can be saved thanks to the built-in amplifier, and the IP67 protection rating allows for worry-free use on food lines where it will be exposed to water.

Measuring Uneven Winding of Electric Wire
Uneven winding can be measured with the CD2H-700 laser displacement sensors when winding electric wire onto a bobbin.
Even in the case where winding is not uniform and both ends of the bobbin become thick, it is possible to output an alarm by placing two displacement sensors at each end and measuring the difference in each of the measurement values.
Since the CD2H-700 can perform long-distance measurement at ranges up to 1,200 mm, it also supports large-diameter bobbins.

Bottle cap float detection
The TD1 series of through-beam edge sensors measures the tightness of bottle caps.
Because an insufficiently tightened cap will be taller than usual, inspection is possible thanks to a line-shaped laser. Moreover, the TD1 series uses a through-beam laser, so colored or patterned caps can be measured with no adverse effects.

Coil Winding Inspection
LS series 2D displacement sensors measure the amount of copper wire wound around a coil.
