Counting Overlapping Printed Materials
Individual printed material that overlap during transfer can be counted. Simply detecting workpieces by peak height is unstable because they can move up and down during transfer.
The CDX has a height difference measurement function to output the difference between the current value and the measurement value before a specified number of sampling times. With this function, workpieces can be counted stably without being influenced by up and down movement because height differences of overlapping workpieces can be extracted.
Even when print patterns have extreme changes in reflectance, such as from white to black, measurement can be carried out without measurement failures or response delays thanks to our in-house developed ATMOS image sensor.

Feeding Length of Non-Woven Fabric
Control of the feed amount for non-woven fabric is possible by using the CD22-100AM compact laser displacement sensor to count creases.
Because crease heights differ between product types, photoelectric sensors need to be adjusted for each type.
With a laser displacement sensor, feed amounts are controlled based on the analog output waveform.
This eliminates the need to adjust the sensor each time the product type is changed.

Small Motor Rotational Speed Inspection
The CDX-30A ultra high-accuracy laser displacement sensor can be used to count the number of rotations of motors.
For a gear with small teeth, a photoelectric sensor cannot distinguish their height differences.
A laser displacement sensor helps to solve this problem.
The CDX-30A, with the spot size of only ø30 μm, ensures detection of each gear tooth.
In addition, the newly developed ATMOS receiver enables a feedback-free high-speed shutter, allowing for measurements with no momentary pauses or response delays.

Counting small electronic parts
CD5 can count small parts by detecting very small height difference. Its high pass filter helps its measurement to be done stably even if the parts are on the conveyer.
