Detection of Overlapped Outer Packaging Paper
The BGS-HDL series can be used to detect the presence of colorful outer packaging paper and whether the papers are overlapped.
The BGS-HDL series’ two control outputs enable simultaneous detection of both the presence of the outer packaging paper and overlapped papers by turning on Output 1 when one sheet is detected, and turning on Output 2 when two or more sheets are detected.
This means that all the work in applications that would conventionally require two sensors can be done with just a single sensor.

Overlap detection of transparent containers
The DR-Q digital laser transparent object sensor monitors overlapping transparent containers. Generally, detection is based on height. However, if the difference in height is small, or the line contains mixed objects, height-based detection will be difficult.
With the DR-Q, detection of overlapping containers is possible based on even slight differences in receiving light levels. This makes detection possible even with transparent objects, which proved difficult to detect with conventional models.

Detecting overlapping caps
C-MOS laser BGS sensor BGS-DL can detect overlapping caps in the parts feeder.
The hysteresis of 100mm sensing distance type is 3% Maximum. It can detect vey small level difference.

Detecting overlapping wafers
BGS-HL has automatic electric shutter function which adjusts sensitivity depends on reflection at the surface of the object that can be utilized for detection of shiny wafer.

Detecting overlapping silicon wafer
Fiber-Optic Sensors D3IF and NF-TW01 can detect overlapping silicon wafers.
Wavelength of the light is 1.45μm which goes through silicon wafer and amount of the light changes depends on thickness of the silicon wafer.
Model: Fiber-Optic Sensors and Fiber-Optic Cables D3IF+NF-TW01
Detect overlapping film
Fiber-Optic Sensors D3IF and specific thru-beam type Fiber-Optic Cables NF-TW01 can detect overlapping films.
As infrared LED applied to D3IF is a wavelength of 1.45μm, stable detection is available.
Model: Liquid surface/liquid leakage/water detection NF-TW01
Detecting overlapped plastic bags
Transparent detection type, digital laser sensor DR-Q150T detects overlapped transparent plastic bags. This highly-accurate feature prevents downtime due to feeding overlapped plastic bags.
Model: Transparent detection type digital laser sensor DR-Q150T
Detecting overlapping caps for beverage package
Fiber-Optic Sensors D3RF and built-in lens thru-beam type Fiber-Optic Cables NF-TX01 can detect overlapping caps for beverage package because of high power light even if the cap is not transparent.
Controlling, saving setup and restoring setup of each Fiber-Optic Sensors can be done through CC-Link utilizing communication unit UC1-CL1 connected to Mitsubishi MELSEC-Q/L series efficiently as well.
Model: UC1-CL1 + D3RF + NF-TX01
